The probe can be used in theupper oven only for double ovens.1. Insert the probe into the food item. For meats, the probetip should be located in the center of the thickest part ofthe meat and not into the fat or touching a bone.2. Insert the probe plug into thereceptacle located on the topleft of the oven. Be sure toinsert plug into the receptacleall the way.3. Press More Options pad.4. Press the down arrow toscroll down.5. Select Probe.When Convect is selected:• Select Bake, Roast or Pastry.• Set the oven temperature by selecting one of thedisplayed temperatures or enter the temperature usingthe number pads.• The display will briefly show the selected temperaturesfor the oven and probe.• After 30 seconds, the display will show the actual oventemperature and actual probe temperature.9. When the selected internal temperature of the food hasbeen reached, the oven will shut off and a beep willsound.10. Remove the probe from the oven receptacle. The probewill be hot. Hold probe plug with an oven mitt orpotholder when removing from the oven.Probe Notes:• The probe must be removed from the oven when it is notbeing used.• Because of the excellent insulation of the oven, theretained heat continues to cook the food after the beephas sounded and the oven has turned off.
