The paging station’s LCDwill display:The paged stations will emit a singlebeep. The LCD of all stations that acceptthe page will display:The message can then be announced toall idle stations. Any station can answeran all-station page. Pressing the [PAGE]key at a paged station does this.Mute OperationPress the [MUTE] key to temporarilyremove the outgoing audio to the callingparty. Pressing the [MUTE] key againdeactivates the feature. The integratedLED will illuminate when the mute fea-ture is active. The mute status remainsthe same when switching between thehandset, handsfree and headset.Pause OperationPressing the [PAUSE] key will automati-cally insert a 3-second waiting period inthe dialing sequence. Multiple pausescan be used for a longer waiting time. Apause may be stored in Speed Dial (itwill count as one digit in memory foreach pause used). The audio can beheard during the pause, so the callprogress can be monitored.Flash Key OperationPressing the [FLASH] key will cause thetelephone to open the telephone line fora programmed amount of time. The flashtime can be set in programming from100mS to 1200mS, in 100mS incre-ments. The flash may be stored in theDirectory and Speed Dial locations (it willcount as one digit in memory for eachone used). It will not be stored in the LastNumber Redial when manually dialed. Itwill be stored in the Last Number Redialwhen dialed from the Directory or SpeedDial.The flash key should be used to accesstelephone special features such as callwaiting and 3 way calling.Temporary Tone DialingThe telephone dialing can be temporarilychanged to tone when the default dialingis set to pulse in programming mode.Press the [*/TONE] key when tone serv-ice is needed. A 1.5-second pause willbe inserted between the last pulse digitand the first tone digit.
