NSQ412 Four-Line Caller ID Telephone Owner’s Manual 24Conference OperationThe Conference allows a station toestablish a 3-party conversation.Conference may occur between two sta-tions and a single CO Line or betweenone station and two CO Lines. To have aconference call, put the CO Line on hold.Make a second call either by intercom ora CO Line. Press the [CONF] key afterthe second person answers. All threepeople will be connected together. Endthe conference call by hanging up orpressing the [RELEASE] key (the phonegoes to idle).Do Not Disturb OperationThe telephone has Do Not Disturb(DND). A station with DND enabled willnot ring (it will display Caller ID info andthe LEDs will function). Press the [DND]key to activate. The DND LED will illumi-nate and the LCD will display:Press the [DND] key again to cancel thefunction. The LCD display will return tothe idle state.The Volume Key OperationPressing the Volume [ ] and [ ] keyswhile the telephone is on-hook will adjustthe ringer volume. There are 4-levels. Awarning beep will sound when the loud-ness is at minimum or maximum. Thedefault loudness is set to level-3. Theringer volume is the same for all lines (itcannot be set differently for any line).The ringer for each line can be disabledin programming mode.Pressing the Volume [ ] and [ ] keyswhile off-hook in handsfree mode will setthe handsfree volume. There are 8-lev-els. A warning beep will sound when theloudness is at minimum or maximum.The volume will remain at the user-adjusted setting after the phone goes on-hook. The default loudness is set tolevel-4.
