Set Vibrationreduction to Off in the setup menu (A99) when using a tripod to stabilize thecamera during shooting.j Night landscape• From the screen displayed after j Night landscape is selected, select YHand-held or Z Tripod.• Y Hand-held (default setting):- Press the shutter-release button all the way to capture a series of images whichare combined into a single image and saved.- Once the shutter-release button is pressed all the way, hold the camera stilluntil a still image is displayed. After taking an image, do not turn the cameraoff before the monitor switches to the shooting screen.- The angle of view (i.e., the area visible in the frame) seen in the saved image isnarrower than that seen in the monitor at the time of shooting.• Z Tripod:- One image is captured at a slow shutter speed when the shutter-releasebutton is pressed all the way.- Vibration reduction is disabled even when Vibration reduction (A99) inthe setup menu is set to On.k Close-up• The focus mode (A64) setting is changed to C (close range only) and thecamera automatically zooms to the closest position at which it can focus.• You can move the focus area. Press the k button, use the multi selectorHIJK or rotate it to move the focus area, and press the k button to applythe setting.
