Removing, Installing, and Replacing NICsNokia 105s Gateway Installation Guide 51Before You StartTo remove, install, or replace a Nokia NIC, you need the following: A Phillips-head screwdriver Physical access to the gateway Access to the gateway by using Nokia Network Voyager or the CLI Suitable, grounded work surface Network interface card kitTo remove, install, or replace a NICNoteBecause power to the 105s gateway is automatically disconnectedwhen the chassis tray assembly is opened, you do not need tomanually disconnect the power for this procedure. Any servicing ofthe unit, however, should be completed with the chassis trayassembly fully removed from the gateway. Power is still active in thechassis body and care should be taken when working on the powersupply or power supply wiring without disconnecting the power cord.1. Use Network Voyager or the CLI to halt the gateway.To use Network Voyager to shut the gateway down, selectSystem > Configuration > Reboot or Shutdown > Halt.To use the CLI to shut the gateway down, enter halt at the prompt.
