Setting predictiveEnglish input on or off• To activate predictive Englishinput:1. Press Options, as whenwriting messages (see page16), and select Dictionary;2. Choose English.• To deactivate predictive Englishinput:1. Press Options, as whenwriting messages (see page16), and select Dictionary;2. Choose Dictionary off. Predictive English inputPredictive English input is an easyway to input, for example, textmessages (see page 16) andreminder notes (see page 31).This input method uses a dictionarybuilt into the phone. To use thisinput method, check that isshown at the top of the display.1. Key in the desired word bypressing each key once for oneletter.For example, to input ‘Nokia’,press.Since the word changes aftereach key press, do not pay muchattention to what happens on thedisplay before you have keyed inthe whole word.• To delete the character to theleft of the cursor, press Clear.To clear the screen, press andhold this key.• To switch between lettercases, or between traditionaland predictive English input,press repeatedly andcheck the indicator at the topof the display. Press and holdto change betweenletter cases and number.• You can get some punctuationmarks by pressing , thenpressing repeatedlyuntil the desired punctuationmark is shown. !!"#$%
