If thebattery is completely discharged,it may take a few minutes beforethe charging indicator appearson the display or before any callscan be made.■ Turn yourdevice on oroffTo turn your deviceon or off, press andhold the Power key on top of thedevice for at least 3 seconds.■ Connect the headsetYou can connect a compatibleheadset, such as HS-5, to your device.See ”Enhancements” on page 78.1. Plug the headset connector intothe Pop-Port™ connector at thebottom end of your device. Theicon appears in the standbymode.2. Position the headset on your ear.With the headset connected, youcan make, answer, and end callsas usual.• Use the keypad to enter numbers.• Press the call key to placea call. See ”Phone at a glance”on page 1.• Press the end key to end acall.You can also plug a compatibleheadset, such as the HS-9 UniversalHeadset, into the 2.5 mm headsetjack on your device to allowhands-free operation. See”Enhancements” on page 78.■ Answer callsAnswer or silence anincoming call• Press the call key or selectAnswer to answer the call.• Press the end key to reject the call.• Select Silence to mute theringing tone then select Dismiss,or do nothing and the call iseventually diverted to voicemail.If your device is set to Silent in theSettings > Profiles menu, selectDismiss, and the call is rejectedand diverted to voicemail.
