C o n t a c t s35■ Speed diallingSet up speed diallingYou can associate any entry in thecontacts list with a key from 2–9;then dial those entries by pressingand holding the assigned key.Assign a key to speed dialling1. In the standby mode, selectMenu > Contacts > Speed dials.2. Scroll to an (empty) speeddialling slot, and select Assign.3. Enter the number (including thearea code), and select OK; orselect Search to retrieve anumber from the contacts list.4. Enter a name for the number, andselect OK. If speed dialling is off,the device displays a promptasking if you would like to turnspeed dialling on.5. Select Yes to activate speeddialling.Change speed dialling numbers1. In the standby mode, selectMenu > Contacts > Speed dials.2. Scroll to the speed dialling entryyou wish to change, and selectOptions > Change.3. Enter the new number; or selectSearch to retrieve a number fromthe contacts list, and select OK.4. Enter a name for the entry, andselect OK.Delete speed dialling numbers1. In the standby mode, selectMenu > Contacts > Speed dials.2. Scroll to the speed diallinglocation you wish to delete, andselect Options > Delete > Yes.■ Voice tagsYou can dial up to 25 stored numbersusing voice dialling.Before using voice tags, note that:• Voice tags are notlanguage-dependent. They aredependent on the speaker’s voice.• You must say the name exactly asyou said it when you recorded it.• Voice tags are sensitive tobackground noise. Record voicetags and use them in a quietenvironment.• Very short names are not accepted.Use long names and avoid similarnames for different numbers.Note: Using voice tags maybe difficult in a noisyenvironment or during anemergency, so you should notrely upon voice dialling in allcircumstances.
