To changethe settings, you need the barring password from yourservice provider. Select the desired barring option, and setit on (Activate) or off (Cancel), or check whether theoption is active (Check status). Call barring affects allcalls, including data calls.When calls are barred, calls still may be possible to certainofficial emergency numbers.NetworkYour device can automatically switch between the GSMand UMTS networks. The GSM network is indicated within the standby mode. The UMTS network is indicatedwith .Network mode (shown only if supported by theoperator)—Select which network to use. If you select Dualmode, the device uses the GSM or UMTS networkautomatically, according to the network parameters andthe roaming agreements between the network operators.Contact your network operator for more details.Operator selection—Select Automatic to set the deviceto search for and select one of the available networks, orManual to manually select the network from a list ofnetworks. If the connection to the manually selectednetwork is lost, the device sounds an error tone and asksyou to reselect a network. The selected network must havea roaming agreement with your home network, that is, theoperator whose SIM card is in your device.Glossary: A roaming agreement is an agreementbetween two or more network service providers toenable the users of one service provider to use theservices of other service providers.Cell info display—Select On to set the device to indicatewhen it is used in a cellular network based onmicrocellular network (MCN) technology and to activatecell info reception.Enhanc. sett.Indicator shown in the standby mode:—A headset is connected.Select Headset or Bluetooth handsfree and the followingoptions are available:Default profile—To set the profile that you wantactivated each time you connect a certain enhancementto your device.
