To connect wirelessly toanother compatible device, first set Bluetooth connectivityOn, then establish a connection.My phone's visibility—To allow your device to be found byother devices with Bluetooth technology, select Shown toall. To hide it from other devices, select Hidden.My phone's name—Edit the name of your device.Remote SIM mode—To enable another device, such as acar kit enhancement, to use the SIM card in your device toconnect to the network, select On.The remote SIM modeTo use the remote SIM mode, set Bluetooth connectivityon, and enable the use of the remote SIM mode with yourdevice. Before the mode can be activated, the two devicesmust be paired and the pairing initiated from the otherdevice. When pairing, use a 16-digit passcode, and set theother device as authorized. See ‘Pair devices’, p. 92. Theremote SIM mode is activated from the other device.When remote SIM mode is on in your Nokia N91, RemoteSIM is displayed in the standby mode. The connection tothe wireless network is turned off, as indicated by inthe signal strength indicator area, and you cannot use SIMcard services or features requiring cellular networkcoverage. However, a wireless LAN connection remainsactive during the remote SIM mode.Warning: In the remote SIM mode, you cannot makeor receive any calls with your device, except make callsto certain emergency numbers, or use other featuresthat require network coverage. To make calls, you mustfirst leave the remote SIM mode. If the device has beenlocked, enter the lock code.To leave the remote SIM mode, press the power key, andselect Exit rem. SIM mode.Security tipsWhen you are not using Bluetooth connectivity, selectBluetooth > Off or My phone's visibility > Hidden.Operating the phone in hidden mode is a safer way toavoid malicious software.Do not pair with an unknown device. Do not acceptBluetooth connectivity from sources you do not trust.
