See “Pair devices”, p. 92.The Global Positioning SystemThe Global Positioning System (GPS) is operated by theUnited States government, which is solely responsible foraccuracy and maintenance of the system. The accuracy oflocation data can be affected by adjustments to GPSsatellites made by the United States government and issubject to change with the United States Department ofDefense civil GPS policy and the Federal RadionavigationPlan. Accuracy can also be affected by poor satellitegeometry. Availability and quality of GPS signals may beaffected by your location, buildings and natural obstaclesas well as weather conditions. The GPS receiver should onlybe used outdoors to allow reception of GPS signals. GPSshould only be used as a navigation aid. It should not beused for precise location measurement and you shouldnever rely solely on location data from the GPS receiver forpositioning or navigation.You may receive a request from a network service toreceive your position information. Service providers mayoffer information about local topics, such as weather ortraffic conditions, based upon the location of your device.When you receive a position request, a message isdisplayed showing the service that is making the request.Select Accept to allow your position information to besent, or select Reject to deny the request.Landmarks
