This enables all the items listed in the tree with the defaultconfiguration. The item becomes bold to show that it is enabled.The field to the right of the Enabled check box automatically fills in the Site - Systemname for the selected device. This is the name displayed in the Terminal server’s mainwindow.To disable a virtual port, do one of the following:• Double-click an enabled item in the tree.• Select the item and clear the Enabled check box.• Click Disable All. This disables all the devices listed in the tree. The item is nolonger bold, and does not appear from the Terminal server main window when youclick OK.Serial connectionsThe Terminal server application supports all the serial ports on the TM 3.0 server PCplus the systems configured in the TM 3.0 Navigator. However, while more than 8 serialports can be configured, the Terminal server is limited to 8 simultaneous serialconnections. (The limit depends on the TM 3.0 server hardware, the network capacity,the server’s CPU capacity, and so on.)For a serial connection, Direct to Com x appears, where x is the com port number. Thefields for serial settings are enabled. The default is the serial settings from the TM 3.0database. The settings in the dialog box can be changed, as shown Figure 61 onpage 164.
