Installing TM 3.0 server (standalone) software 45CS 1000 Telephony Manager Installation and ConfigurationInstallation program featuresTM 3.0 server (standalone) software installation uses the standard Windows®installation wizard.Users and groupsDuring the installation process, TM 3.0 adds the Default, EndUser, and HelpDesk usergroups to the server. User groups cannot have the same name as a local user on theTM 3.0 server. If the installation program detects a local user with the same name as oneof the user groups that it is attempting to add, you are given the option of renaming ordeleting the local user or canceling the creation of the user group.Checking local security settingsEnsure the Users group has the access this computer from network and log on locallypolicies set before starting the TM 3.0 installation.These settings can be checked and changed using the following procedure.Procedure 1Checking local security settings1 From the Administrative Tools window launch the Local Security Settings.The Local Security Settings window appears as shown in Figure 1 on page 46.2 Select the Local Policies > User Rights Assignment.3 Double-click the policies Log on as Service and Access this computer from thenetwork. Ensure the “Users” group is present. If not, add “Users” to the policy.CAUTION — Service InterruptionTM 3.0 is not supported on a Windows Server system that isconfigured as a Primary Domain Controller (PDC). DO NOT installTM 3.0 on a PDC.IMPORTANT!If TM 3.0 is being installed on a computer that is within a domain, you may have tocheck/set the policies on the Primary Domain Controller. In such cases, pleasecontact your domain administrator to check/set the required policies. Insufficientpermissions will result in PostgreSQL error during installation, and the only means ofrecovery is to uninstall TM and re-install TM again with the proper permissions.
