Steps 1through 6, as shown in Procedure 36, are then not required.Checklist for a TM 3.0 installation on an existing ONMS serverProcedure 36Checking the current configuration1 Log in to ONMS as Administrator.2 Check for the environment variable LNMSHOME.View environment variables using the System option in Control Panel on theEnvironment Variables tab. This variable holds the path of the Optivity installation(typically, c:\Optivity\NMS). All the executables are located in c:\Optivity\NMS\bin.3 Check for the environment variable OITHOME.This environment variable points to the Optivity Integration Toolkit home directory(typically, C:\Optivity\oit). If unable to find OITHOME, create it.4 Copy TM 3.0 OIT files to the appropriate subdirectories in OITHOME.All of the subdirectories under \Optivity\Oit\ on the TM 3.0 CD-ROM are copied toOITHOME.5 Run LNMSHOME\bin\oitinstall -u <full path of TM 3.0 OIT file> for every.oit file in theCND Directory, where -u indicates to upgrade ONMS. If the -u parameter is notspecified, only a syntax check is performed on the OIT file.This command updates the ONMS database with the new definitions.
