Chapter 532Broadcasting 5Broadcasting lets you send the same faxmessage to more than one fax number. Youcan include Groups, One-Touch, Speed Dialnumbers and up to 50 manually dialednumbers in the same broadcast. Forinformation see How to Dial on page 55.You can broadcast up to 390 differentnumbers. This will depend on how manygroups, access codes or credit card numbersyou have stored, and on how many delayedor stored faxes in memory.NoteUse the Search/Speed Dial to help youchoose numbers easily.a Make sure you are in Fax mode .b Load your document.c Enter a number. Press OK.You can use either a One-Touch,Speed Dial, a Group number, or anumber manually entered using the dialpad. See How to Dial on page 55.d Repeat c until you have entered all thefax numbers you want to broadcast to.e Press Start.After the broadcast is finished the machinewill print a broadcast report to let you knowthe results.Note• The scan profile of the One-Touch,Speed Dial or Group number you chosefirst will be applied to the broadcast.• If the fax resolution of the fax number youchose first is EX-Fine and you want to doa broadcast that includes IFAX, pressResolution, and then press a or b tochoose Standard or Fine resolution.Press OK. Then follow the steps above.• When you create a group or broadcastusing Scan to E-mail only B/W200x100and B/W200dpi are available. The fileformat can be TIFF or PDF.Canceling a Broadcast inprogress 5While broadcasting you can cancel the faxcurrently being sent or the whole broadcastjob.a Press Menu, 3, 6.The LCD will display the fax job currentlybeing sent(for example, #001:FRIENDS) and thebroadcast job(for example, Broadcast#001):36.View/Del. Jobsa #001 FRIENDSb Broadcast#001Select ab & OKb Press a or b to choose the job youwant to cancel. Press OK.c Press 1 to clear or 2 to exit.If you chose to only cancel the faxcurrently being sent in a, the machinewill ask you if you want to cancel thebroadcast. Press 1 to clear or 2 to exit.d Press Stop.
