To use thephone, email, or web features, the SIMcard must be inserted in your smartphone.NOTE Your SIM card may already beinstalled in your smartphone. Follow steps1–3 to check. If a SIM card did not comewith your smartphone, you may alreadyhave one; otherwise, your wireless serviceprovider will give you one when yousubscribe.1 Use one hand to press the Batterydoor release button and use your otherhand to slide the battery doordownward to remove it from yoursmartphone.2 If the battery is installed, remove it.(See Replacing the battery for details.)3 Slide the SIM tray out of the slot insidethe smartphone.
