66Chapter 5 Preparation5-1 Power SupplyA battery pack or AC power can be used as the power supply forthe camera-recorder.Using a Battery PackBattery packs from the following manufacturers can be used:• Panasonic• Anton/Bauer• IDX• PACO• Sonyz Other batteries may be used by changing the menu setting,but system compatibility is not guaranteed.z Charge the battery pack with the battery charger before usingit. (Please refer to the battery charger’s instruction manual forinformation about charging.)5-1-1 Mounting the Battery and Setting theBattery TypeUsing an Anton/Bauer Battery Pack1 Mount the Anton/Bauer battery pack.The Anton/Bauer battery holder includes both a power supplyoutput connector for lighting and a lighting control switch, whichare convenient when attaching a light. Please contact Anton/Bauer for information about the lighting system.2 Insert the battery and slide it in the direction of the arrow.Removing the battery packCompletely push down and hold the release lever on thebattery holder.
