Wait until {LINE1} or {LINE2}turns OFF.L The handset you tried to copy phone book items to is in use.L The handset you are calling is too far from the base unit.L Privacy mode is turned ON for the call you tried to join (page 52).“CALL SERVICE” L There is something wrong with the unit. Contact our servicepersonnel.“CHECK DOCUMENT” L The document was not fed into the unit properly. Re-insert thedocument. If misfeeding occurs frequently, clean the documentfeeder rollers (page 110) and try again.L Attempted to send a document longer than 600 mm (235/ 8"). Press{STOP} to remove the document. Divide the document into two ormore sheets, and try again.“CHECK MEMORY” L The base unit memory (telephone numbers, parameters, etc.) hasbeen erased. Re-program.“CHECK PAPER” L The recording paper is not installed or the unit has run out of paper.Install paper and press {START} to clear the message.L The recording paper was not fed into the unit properly (page 109).Reinstall paper (page 17) and press {START} to clear themessage.L The recording paper has jammed near the recording paperentrance. Clear the jammed paper (page 107) and press {START}to clear the message.“COVER OPEN”“CHECK FILM”L The covers are open. Close them.L The ink film is empty. Replace the ink film with a new one (page16).L The ink film is not installed. Install it (page 14).L The ink film is slack or creased. Tighten it (see step 5 on page 15).“DENIED” L When you tried to monitor an extension, the room monitor featureof the destination extension was set to OFF (page 53).“FAX IN MEMORY” L The unit has a document in memory. See the other displayedmessage instructions to print out the document.“FAX MEMORY FULL” L The memory is full of received documents due to a lack ofrecording paper, a lack of ink film or a recording paper jam. Installpaper (page 17), install ink film (page 14) or clear the jammedpaper (page 107).L When performing memory transmission, the document beingstored exceeded the memory capacity of the unit. Send the entiredocument manually.
