You can select 2 to 7 rings, or “Tollsaver”.The default setting is “4”.“Toll saver”: The unit’s answering systemanswers at the end of the 2nd ring when newmessages have been recorded, or at the end of the4th ring when there are no new messages. If youcall your phone from outside to listen to newmessages (page 32), you know that there are nonew messages when the phone rings for the 3rdtime. It isnecessary to check the number of ringsrequired to activate the voice mail serviceprovided by your service provider/telephonecompany before changing this setting.– Change the number of rings of the voice mailservice so that the answering system cananswer the call first. To do so, contact yourservice provider/telephone company.Caller’s recording timeYou can change the maximum message recordingtime allotted to each caller. You can also select“Greeting only” which sets the unit to greetcallers but not record messages.
