105VQT0T50sRead the operating instructionsbefore use.≥ The unit and SD Memory Cardbecome warm after long operation, butthis is not a malfunction.Keep the unit away from magnetizedequipment/mobile phones, microwaveovens, TVs and video game equipment.≥ If you use the unit on or near a TV, theimages or sound may be disturbed dueto electromagnetic wave radiation.≥ Do not use near cell phone becausedoing so may cause noise to adverselyaffect the picture and sound.≥ Recordings may be damaged, orimages may be distorted, by the strongmagnetic fields created by speakers orlarge motors.≥ Electromagnetic wave radiationgenerated by digital circuits includingmicroprocessors may adversely affectthe unit, causing the disturbance ofimages and sounds.≥ If the unit is affected by suchequipment and does not functionproperly, remove the battery ordisconnect the AC adaptor. Then insertthe battery again or connect the ACadaptor again.Do not use the unit near radio trans-mitters or high-voltage cables.≥ If you record pictures near radiotransmitters or high-voltage cables,recorded images or sounds may beadversely affected.Make sure to use the supplied cordsand cables. If you use optionalaccessories, use the cords and thecables supplied with them.Do not extend the cords and thecables.Do not spray insecticides or volatilechemicals onto the unit.≥ If the unit is sprayed with suchchemicals, its body may be marred andthe surface finish may peel off.≥ Do not leave rubber or plastic productsin contact with the unit for a long time.When you use the unit in a sandy ordusty place such as a beach, do notlet sand or fine dust get into the bodyand terminals of the unit.Also, keep the unit away from seawater.≥ Sand or dust may damage the unit.(Care should be taken when insertingand removing an SD card.)≥ If sea water splashes onto the unit,wipe off the water with a well rungcloth. Then wipe the unit again with adry cloth.When carrying the unit, do not drop orbump it.≥ A strong impact can break the unit’scasing, causing it to malfunction.Do not use benzine, paint thinner oralcohol for cleaning the unit.≥ Before cleaning, detach the battery orpull out the AC mains lead from the ACmains socket.≥ The camera body may be discolouredand the surface finish may peel off.≥ Wipe the unit with a soft dry cloth toremove dust and fingerprints. Toremove stubborn stains, thoroughlyring a cloth that has been soaked in aneutral detergent diluted with waterand wipe the unit with it. Afterwards,wipe it with a dry cloth.≥ When you use a chemical dust cloth,follow the instructions.Do not use the unit for surveillancepurposes or other business uses.≥ If you use the unit for a long time, heatwill build up inside it and this maycause a malfunction.≥ The unit is not intended for businessuse.When you are not going to use the unitfor an extended time≥ When storing the unit in a cupboard orcabinet, it is recommended that youput a desiccant (silica gel) in with it.Cautions for UseAbout this unit
