NOTE:The engine must be running before theheadlights will turn on in the AutomaticMode.Headlights On With Wipers(Available With AutomaticHeadlights Only)When this feature is active, the headlights willturn on approximately 10 seconds after thewipers are turned on if the headlight switch isplaced in the AUTO position. In addition, theheadlights will turn off when the wipers areturned off, if they were turned on by this feature.NOTE:If your vehicle is equipped with a touch-screen, this feature can be programmedthrough the Uconnect® system. Refer to“Uconnect® Settings” in “UnderstandingYour Instrument Panel” for further informa-tion.If your vehicle is not equipped with a touch-screen, this feature can be programmedthrough the Electronic Vehicle Information Cen-ter (EVIC) or Driver Information Display (DID).Refer to “Electronic Vehicle Information Center(EVIC)” or “Driver Information Display (DID)” in“Understanding Your Instrument Panel” for fur-ther information.Daytime Running Lights (DRL) — IfEquippedThe headlights on your vehicle will illuminatewhen the engine is started and the transmissionis in any gear except PARK. This provides aconstant "Lights ON" condition until the ignitionis turned OFF. The lights illuminate at less than50% of normal intensity. If the parking brake isapplied, the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) willturn OFF. Also, if a turn signal is activated, theDRL lamp on the same side of the vehicle mayturn off for the duration of the turn signal acti-vation. Once the turn signal is no longer active,the DRL lamp will illuminate.Headlight DelayTo aid in your exit, your vehicle is equipped witha headlight delay that will leave the headlightson for approximately up to 90 seconds. Thisdelay is initiated when the ignition is turned OFFwhile the headlight switch is on, and then theheadlight switch is cycled off. Headlight delaycan be cancelled by either turning the headlightswitch on then off, or by turning the ignition ON.NOTE:If your vehicle is equipped with a touch-screen, this feature can be programmedthrough the Uconnect® system.
