Use a soft cloth or, forstubborn stains, a nylon washing up brush.NEVER USE CAUSTIC OR ABRASIVE CLEANERSAS THESE WILL DAMAGE THE SURFACE.Control Panel and DoorsThe control panel and control knobs should only becleaned with a soft cloth wrung out in clean hot soapywater - but take care that no surplus water seepsinto the appliance. Wipe with a clean dampenedcloth then polish with a dry cloth. The oven doorsshould only be cleaned with a soft cloth wrung out inclean hot soapy water.GrillThe face of the grill burner will darken with use - thisis perfectly normal. Any fat or grease will burn off. Donot try to clean it - the small holes could get blockedand affect burner performance.The grill pan and grid should be washed in hot soapywater. After grilling meats or any foods that soil, leaveto soak for a few minutes in the sink immediatelyafter use. Stubborn particles may be removed fromthe grid by using a nylon brush.OvenCleaning is easier if carried out while the oven is stillwarm. Before cleaning, cover the burner to preventthe burner holes becoming blocked.The inside of the oven and inner door panel can becleaned using an approved cleaner see the table atthe end of this section.Take care not to disturb the oven thermostattemperature sensor at the top of the oven opening.The enamelled oven burner trim (supplied with somemodels only) can be removed for cleaning.The oven burner trim hooks onto the front of the ovenburner bracket.When refitting make sure that the trim is in the middleof the front of the oven burner bracket.The Oven side liningsThe oven has removable oven side lining panelsthat have been coated with special enamel thatpartly cleans itself. This does not stop all marks onthe lining, but helps to reduce the amount of manualcleaning needed.The Cook & Clean panels work better abovegas 190°C. If you do most of your cookingbelow this temperature, occasionally removethe panels and wipe with a lint free cloth and hotsoapy water. The panels should then be driedand replaced and the oven heated at 220°C forabout one hour. This will ensure the Cook &Clean panels are working effectively.Don’t use steel wool (Brillo) or any other materialsthat will scratch the surface. Don’t use oven cleaningpads.Before cleaning the oven, cover the burner at therear to stop the holes getting blocked as you clean.If they are accidentally blocked, clean them out withthin wire, such as fuse wire.Removing the Oven LiningsThe lining panels can be removed for cleaning andfor cleaning behind. Remove the shelves first.
