SAFETY, OPERATORS & MAINTENANCE MANUALen-549 ADJUSTMENTSA9.1 TRACTION CONTROL PEDALThe LPV transmission pump has an internalneutralising mechanism which cannot be adjusted. Ifthe machine does however creep carry out thefollowing.1. Lift and support both front and rear wheels.2. Remove ball joint from pump lever to allowpump to neutralise.3. Start engine, manually move the pump controllever and release to ensure wheels stoprotating.4. Operate foot pedal to ensure cable is free.5. Reattach ball joint to pump lever.9.2 WEIGHT TRANSFER ADJUSTMENTThe weight transfer bias can be adjusted on the liftvalve. The valve is accessible from under the seatplate. To adjust:1. Loosen the locknut A whilst holding thethreaded shaft still with the Allen Key B.2. Using an Allen key B rotate the threaded shaftclockwise in direction D to increase weight ontothe drive wheels when the traction controlswitch is operated on the control panel. Thisimproves slope climbing performance. Toreduce weight on the drive wheels when thetraction control switch is operated on thecontrol panel, rotate the threaded shaft counterclockwise in direction C. This increases theground weight of the cutting unit and willreduce the possibility of cutting unit “bounce”when working at high speed on undulatingground. It is recommended that the Allen keyis turned a 1/4 turn at a time and the weighttransfer tested.3. Tighten locknut A. whilst holding the threadedshaft still with the Allen Key B.6. Move the foot pedal in forward & reversedirections to ensure there is no creep in neutralposition.Properly support raised machinery with jackstandsWARNING
