Actual cutting height may vary somewhatfrom the heights given depending on turf conditionsand other factors.Note: When cutting undulating areas, lower cuttingheights may cause scalping. Adjust heightaccordingly to prevent turf damage.To Change the Height of Cut1. Park the tractor on a flat, level surface. Fullylower cutting unit. Place blocks under deck soit is supported on all sides.2. Refer to the chart provided for desired cuttingheight.3. Caster Mount - The caster wheel mountingbrackets may be attached to deck mountingplates at two different points. Select eitherposition 1 or 2 for the two height of cut ranges.4. Caster spacers - Spacers may be moved frombelow to above the pivot spindle to makerelatively small changes in the height of cut.a) Remove cotter pin and ring from the top of thecaster yoke shaft, and remove the yoke andwheel completely from pivot spindle mounting.b) Select the spacers needed and place on thecaster yoke shaft.c) Reinsert the caster yoke shaft into the pivotspindle mounting.d) Place the remaining spacers on the caster yokeshaft above pivot spindle mounting. Replacethe cotter pin and ring.5. Fit pin to plate H to give the required height ofcut.For best performance it is recommended not to cut ofmore than 1/3 of the grasses length in one cut. This isparticularly important when using a mulching deck.Adjust forward speed in consideration of the grassconditions, the performance lamp is a guide tooptimise cutting performance.
