Chapter 8: Device Management169 Rename the port. When a CIM is attached the CIM name willbe used. Rename the port, and select 'Persist name on Next CIMInsertion'. When a CIM is attached the name that has beenassigned will be copied into the CIM. Reset the port, including the name, to factory defaults byselecting 'Reset to Defaults'. When a CIM is attached theCIM name will be used.Note: Do not use apostrophes for the Port (CIM) Name. Click the Port Name for the port you want to edit. For KVM ports, the Port page for KVM and blade chassis ports isopened. For rack PDUs, the Port page for rack PDUs (power strips) isopened. From this page, you can name the rack PDUs and theiroutlets.Configuring Standard Target ServersTo name the target servers:1. Connect all of the target servers if you have not already done so.See Step 3: Connect the Equipment (on page 28) for a descriptionof connecting the equipment.2. Choose Device Settings > Port Configuration. The Port Configurationpage opens.3. Click the Port Name of the target server you want to rename. ThePort Page opens.4. Select Standard KVM Port as the subtype for the port.
