Tap Data roaming to connect to data serviceswhile roaming outside your network.– or –Tap Data roaming again to remove the greencheckmark and deactivate the feature.Access Point NamesTo use Wi-Fi you need access to a wireless accesspoint (hotspot). Press ➔ and then tap(Settings) ➔ Wireless and networks ➔ Mobilenetworks ➔ Access Point Names. A list of theAccess point names display. The active accesspoint displays a bright green, filled circle to theright of the name.Using the 2G (EDGE) NetworkIf you are not using applications that require the 3Gnetwork speed (any application that accesses thenetwork or uses a browser), using the 2G networksaves battery life.1. Press ➔ and then tap(Settings) ➔ Wireless and networks ➔ Mobilenetworks.2. Tap Use only 2G networks. A check markdisplays next to this option to indicate that it isactive.Note: Connecting to 2G networks slows the data transfer speedand time.
