90Camera and Camcorder OptionsYou can change options using your keypad in capturemode.Camera OptionsThe following short cuts are available for the camera:Note: The options disappear after a few seconds. Touch thescreen to display the tab, then touch the tab to view theseoptions.1. Shooting mode: allows you to set the followingoptions:• Single shot: takes a single photo and view it beforereturning to the shooting mode.• Smile shot: the camera focuses on the face of yoursubject. Once the camera detects the person’s smile,it takes the picture.• Continuous: takes a succession of consecutivephotos by pressing and holding the Camera key.• Panorama: takes a landscape photo by taking aninitial photo and then adding additional images toitself. The guide box lets you view the area where thesecond part of the panoramic picture should fallwithin.• Add me: combines people with existing background.Touch the screen to pick which side of the screen tofocus on. Press the camera key. Focus on abackground and press the camera key a second time.2. Scene mode: selects a camera setting for betterimage capture under different lightingenvironments. Choose from: None (default),Landscape, Night, Sports, Party/Indoor,Beach/Snow, Sunset, Dawn, Fall color,Firework, Candlelight and Backlight.3. Brightness: sets the total amount of lightallowed to fall on the subject through the lenssensor while taking a picture.Touch and dragthe slider to the left (to decrease the value), tothe right (to increase the value). You can alsotouch the Minus icon (to decrease the value) orthe Plus icon (to increase the value).4. Settings: displays two types of settings, Camera(first tab) and General settings (second tab).Camera settings:• Timer: allows you to set a time delay before thecamera takes the photo. Select the length of delay youwant and touch the Off, 2 sec, 5 sec, and 10 sec.When you press the Camera key, the camera takesthe photo after the specified time elapses.6754312
