136Using the 3G NetworkIf you are using applications that require the 3Gnetwork speed, follow these instructions to reactivateyour 3G network connection.By default, your phone uses 3G communication. Ifyour phone is ever set to use 2G communication, youcan reset it using these steps:1. Press ➔ and then tap(Settings) ➔ Wireless and networks ➔ Mobilenetworks.2. Remove the checkmark from the Use only 2Gnetworks field. Deactivating this featureresumes 3G communication.Network OperatorsUsing this feature you can view the current networkconnection. You can also scan and select a networkoperator manually, or set the network selection toAutomatic.1. Press ➔ and then tap(Settings) ➔ Wireless and networks ➔ Mobilenetworks.2. Tap Network operators. The current networkconnection displays at the bottom of the list.Important!: You must deactivate data service prior to searchingfor an available network.3. Tap Search now to manually search for anetwork.4. Tap Select automatically to automatically selecta network connection.Note: Connecting to 2G networks slows the data transfer speedand time.Default Setup OptionsYour phone default is set to Automatic (toautomatically search for an available network.
