92Use of AGPS in Emergency CallsWhen you make an emergency call, the cellularnetwork may activate AGPS technology in your mobiledevice to tell the emergency responders yourapproximate location.AGPS has limitations and might not work in your area.Therefore:• Always tell the emergency responder your location to thebest of your ability; and• Remain on the mobile device for as long as the emergencyresponder instructs you.NavigationMaps, directions, and other navigation data maycontain inaccurate or incomplete data, andcircumstances can and do change over time. In someareas, complete information may not be available.Therefore, you should always visually confirm that thenavigational instructions are consistent with what yousee before following them. All users should payattention to road conditions, closures, traffic, and allother factors that may impact safe driving or walking.Always obey posted road signs.Emergency CallsThis mobile device, like any wireless mobile device,operates using radio signals, wireless and landlinenetworks, as well as user-programmed functions,which cannot guarantee connection in all conditions,areas, or circumstances. Therefore, you should neverrely solely on any wireless mobile device for essentialcommunications (medical emergencies, for example).Before traveling in remote or underdeveloped areas,plan an alternate method of contacting emergencyservices personnel.
