2.4Using the Number KeypadAs you perform various tasks, you will need to enter names and numbers.For example, when you set up your machine you enter your name (or yourcompany’s name) and telephone number. When you use the One-Touchdial or Speed Dial, you enter names and telephone numbers.When the display asks you to enter a name, the LCD reads:You can then use the procedures described below to enter up to 20 lettersand special characters, numerals, or spaces.Entering Letters and Special CharactersYou can include special characters (space, plus sign, etc.) in the name by usingthe zero key. See `KEYPAD CHARACTER ASSIGNMENTS’ on page 2.5.1. Locate the button labeled with the letter you want – then press thebutton repeatedly until the correct letter appears in the display.For example, to enter an O, press 6 (labeled MNO).
