2.16 Sending a FaxPriority TransmissionWhen priority transmission is enabled, a high priority document can betransmitted ahead of reserved operations. The document is scanned intomemory, then transmitted when the current operation concludes. Inaddition, a priority transmission will interrupt a broadcast operationbetween stations (i.e., when transmission to station A ends, beforetransmission to station B begins) or between redial attempts.1. Load the document face down. If necessary, use Resolution, Contrast,or the EXPRESS button. For details, see page 2.8.2. Press Menu, then Priority TX on the One-Touch keypad.3. Enter the number of the remote machine, then press Enter.To enter the number you can also press a One-Touch button. Otherwise,press Speed, enter a 2-digit Speed Dial number, then press Enter. Thestored number (and name) appears in the display. Press Enter to confirmthe number. Note that you can not use a Group dial button.4. The display asks you to enter a name. If you want to assign a name tothe transmission, enter the name. If not, skip this step.For details on how to enter letters using the number keypad.see page 2.4.5. Press Enter. The display shows the number being dialed, 2nd themachine begins sending the document.
