6➀Mode Keys—Use these keys to program the remotecontrol and to select the operating mode (VCR, TV,CABLE, DVD, SAT, or AUX). To Operate Your...VCR—Press the VCR key; Television—Press the TVkey; Cable Box—Press the CABLE key; DVDPlayer—Press the DVD key; and SatelliteReceiver—Press the SAT key.Note: Make sure you hold down the mode keywhile entering a code number, see page 7.➁Input Key—In the TV and Satellite modes, this keyselects the program source to display on the screen(TV signal or signal from equipment connected to theAV jacks). In the VCR mode, this key functions as aVCR’s TV/VCR key.➂Number Keys—Two keys must be pressed to select achannel. Example: Press 0 then 6 to select channel 6.For cable channels 100 through 125, press and holdthe 1 key until C1–– appears. Then press the othertwo numbers.➃Caption Key—See page 18.➄Menu Key—Use this key with the / and/ keys to navigate and adjust features of theon-screen menu system (see pages 10 ~ 13). Use it todisplay the Satellite Guide in the Satellite mode.➅Channel (CH) Scanning ( / ) andVolume ( / ) Keys—Press to scan through thechannels in memory and to adjust the volume.➆Mute Key—Press once to turn off the volume. Pressagain to restore.Note: When using the audio out jacks this key will notmute the sound in the fixed mode, but will mute thesound in the variable mode.➇V-Guide Key—See pages 16 ~ 17.➈VCR/DVD Keys—These keys control VCR and/orDVD functions for Fast Forward ( ), Rewind ( ),Play ( ), Record (Rec), Stop ( ), Tracking (– / +),and Pause.➉Reset Key—Press this key twice to restore factorysettings. The TV will automatically start ChannelSearch and clear all customized settings. (See page 13.)Power Key—Press to turn TV on or off.Sleep Key—Use this key with the “0” key to set theSleep Timer (see page 15).Recall Key—Select a channel then select anotherchannel using the number keys. Press Recall to switchbetween the channels.Display Key—Press once to display the channel numberand time. Press twice to display the channel number con-tinuously.
