Connect the projector’s AC power cord into an ACoutlet. The POWER indicator turns red.Press the POWER ON-OFF button on the remotecontrol. The POWER indicator becomes green and thecooling fans start to operate. Setting the PIN code prevents unauthorized useof the projector.A PIN code consists of a four-digit number. Refer to the PINcode lock function in the Setting Menu on pages 47–48 forlocking operation of the projector with your PIN code.✔Note:• When the Input Search function is set onOn1 or On2, the input signal will be searchedautomatically (p.45).• When the Logo select function is "Off,” thelogo will not be displayed on the screen(p.42).• When the "Countdown off" or "Off" is selectedin the Display function, the countdown willnot be shown on the screen (p.41).• During the countdown period, all operationsare invalid.• If the correct PIN code number is not enteredfor 3 minutes after the PIN code dialog boxappeared, the projector will be turned offautomatically.• The “1234” is set as the initial PIN code atthe factory.CAUTION ON HANDLING THE PIN CODEIf you forget your PIN code, the projector can nolonger be started.
