56Follow these steps to replace the lamp.LampORDER REPLACEMENT LAMPReplacement lamp can be ordered through your dealer. When ordering a projection lamp, give the followinginformation to the dealer.●Model No. of your projector : PLC-XE45●Replacement Lamp Type No. : POA-LMP106(Service Parts No. 610 332 3855)For continued safety, replace with a lamp of thesame type. Do not drop a lamp or touch a glassbulb! The glass can shatter and may cause injury.Allow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutesbefore you open the Lamp cover. The inside of theprojector can become very hot.CAUTIONScrewTurn off the projector and unplug the AC power cord.Let the projector cool for at least 45 minutes.Remove the two screws that secure the lamp. Lift thelamp out of the projector by using the built in handle.13Replace the lamp with a new one and secure it withthe two screws. Make sure that the lamp is setproperly. Put the lamp cover back and secure it withthe screw.4Turn the projector over. Remove the screw thatsecures the lamp cover, and then open the lamp cover.2Connect the AC power cord to the projector and turnon the projector.6 Reset the lamp replacement counter.See “Lamp Replacement Counter” on the next page.5 HandleScrewCAUTIONScrewLamp CoverWhen the projection lamp of the projector reaches the endof its life, the LAMP REPLACE indicator emits a yellow light.If this indicator lights yellow, replace the lamp with a newone promptly.Top PanelLamp ReplacementWARNING:TURN OFF THE UV LAMP BEFOREOPENING THE LAMP COVERREPLACEPOWER WARNING LAMPThis indicator turns yellowwhen the projection lampreaches the end of its life.Maintenance and Cleaning
