Press the POWER ON-OFF button on the remotecontrol, and “Power off?” appears on the screen.Press the POWER ON-OFF button again to turn off theprojector. The POWER indicator starts to blink red, andthe cooling fans keep running. (You can select the levelof the fans’ quietness and running speed. See page49.) At this time you can unplug the AC power cordeven if the fans are still running.12TO MAINTAIN THE LAMP LIFE, ONCE YOU TURNTHE PROJECTOR ON, WAIT AT LEAST 5 MINUTESBEFORE TURNING IT OFF.3 When the projector has cooled down enough to beturned on again, the POWER indicator stops blinking.“Power off” disappears after 4 seconds.✔Note:• When the On start function is “On,” this projector isturned on automatically by connecting the AC power cordto an AC outlet (p. 46).• The running speed of cooling fans is changed accordingto the temperature inside the projector.• Do not put the projector in a case before the projector iscooled enough.• If the WARNING indicator blinks or emits a red light, see“Warning Indicator” on page 50.• While the POWER indicator is blinking, the lamp is beingcooled down and the projector cannot be turned on. Waituntil the POWER indicator stops blinking to turn on theprojector again.• The fan rotation will terminate directly if the AC powercord is unplugged immediately after the projector isturned off.• The projector can be turned on after the POWER indicatorturns red. The waiting time to restart will be shortenedwhen the normal power-off processing for fan cooling iscompleted, compared with the time the AC power cord isimmediately unplugged after the power-off.Turning Off the Projector19DO NOT OPERATE THE PROJECTORCONTINUOUSLY WITHOUT REST. CONTINUOUSUSE MAY RESULT IN SHORTENING THE LAMPLIFE. TURN OFF THE PROJECTOR AND LET STANDFOR ABOUT AN HOUR IN EVERY 24 HOURS.Basic Operation
