Assembly Instructions22Mower Deck Installation on TractorDeck Installation1. Lightly grease each deck support arm (2) on thetractor. Refer to Mower Deck Installationphoto for location of deck support arm.2. Engage the deck carrier frame tube sockets onthe tractor support arms (refer to DischargeChute and PTO Shaft Guard Installationphoto for socket location), slide the deck ontothe support arms approximately 3 in. (76 mm).3. Retract the spring-loaded quick disconnect ringon the PTO Coupler and insert the Coupler In-stallation Tool (provided in Owner’s Packet) asshown in the photo below.NOTE: The Coupler Installation Tool is providedfor convenience, but is not required for installation.PTO CouplerTubeCouplerInstallation ToolRetract Spring-LoadedQuick Disconnect RingPTO Coupler Installation Tool4. Reaching under the tractor, slide the PTO cou-pler tube onto the deck drive shaft (align arrowdecals), then install the coupler quick discon-nect onto the tractor PTO drive shaft.NOTE: When installing the DS52 or DS62Mower deck, make sure to retract the dollywheel after mounting the deck on the tractor.Grease DeckSupport ArmsArrows on Shaft and Tube(Used to Align When Sliding Together)PTO ConnectionMower Deck Installation(PTO Shaft Connection)5. Remove Installation Tool from quick disconnectring and make sure the ring has “snapped” se-curely on the spline shaft.IMPORTANT: DO NOT operate tractor withCoupler Installation Tool installed.IMPORTANT: To prevent damage to the mow-er, make sure the PTO quick disconnect is se-curely locked on the tractor, with the lockingballs fully seated in the groove and the ring in thelocked position (refer to the Quick DisconnectRing “Locked” Position illustration).
