Operating Instructions33Ignition SwitchThe ignition switch is used to start and stop the en-gine. The switch has three positions: “O” is the OFFposition, RUN is the position the key returns to afterstarting, and is the START position. When start-ing the engine, turn the key clockwise to the STARTposition. Do not hold the key in the START positionlonger than 10 seconds. If the engine does not start, return the key to the “O” position for at least 60 sec-onds before making a restart attempt. Prolongedcranking can damage the starter motor and shortenbattery life. Release the key when the engine starts, and it will return to the RUN position. To stop theengine, rotate the key counterclockwise to the “O”position.OFFSTARTRUNIgnition SwitchLight Switch (For Optional Lights)Operates headlights (when installed).Warning HornThe warning horn sounds to alert the operator thatan unsafe engine condition is being indicated -when engine temperature is too high or engine oilpressure is too low. If the horn sounds, check theindicator lights and correct the problem before fur-ther operation.Circuit BreakerOne manual reset circuit breaker is located on theinstrument panel. A button pops out if the circuitbreaker trips. The 7 amp circuit breaker protects thesafety circuits and GHS.
