Slide the deck the rest of the way on the deckarms. If the deck is rear discharge (GHSequipped model), the rear discharge chute willneed to be aligned and connected to the blow-er inlet during the last 2 in. (51 mm) of slideaction on the support arms.NOTE: Raising the mower body may be helpfulin fitting and guiding the deck chute into theblower.7. Install the hitch pin through the hole on the endof each support arm to lock the deck in place(refer to Deck Counterweight Spring Installa-tion photo). Two (2) hitch pins are included inthe Owner’s Packet of materials.8. Raise the mower body (instead of lifting thefront of deck) and clip the counterweight springsto the receptacle on front of body. Lower thebody to tension the springs. (Refer to DeckCounterweight Spring Installation photo.)9. With the counterweight springs connected, theweight on the deck caster wheels should be15 to 25 Ib (6.8 to 11.3 kg); this adjustment ispreset at the factory. If required, the spring ten-sion can be adjusted by tightening or looseningthe elastic stop nuts located underneath thelower spring hook, or contact your local dealerif additional help is required.
