14 Getting to know the WIDE FORMAT COPY SYSTEM Xerox 6030/6050 Wide Format Copy SystemThe Media Selection area of the Scan System Control Panel allows youto select the media Source, Type, and Output Format. The illustrationbelow depicts the Media Selection portion of the control panel.SourceThe Source option allows you to select the source of the media on whichthe image will be printed. To select the media source, press the keybeneath the Source settings until the desired source indicator lampilluminates.The Source settings are:• Sheet - This setting tells the Printer to print from a manuallyinserted sheet of media.• R4 - This setting is optional on the Xerox 6030/6050 WideFormat When it is selected, both the R1 and R3 indicator lampsilluminate and the Printer selects the media stored on Roll 4.• R3 - This setting is optional on the Xerox 6030/6050 WideFormat. When it is selected on those systems, the R3 indicatorlamp illuminates and the Printer selects the media stored on Roll3.• R2 - This setting tells the Printer to select the media stored onRoll 2.• R1 - This setting tells the Printer to select the media stored onRoll 1.• Auto (factory default) - This setting automatically selects the rollcontaining the media that best fits the size of the capturedimage. For most documents, the Scan System is able toautomatically detect the width of the scanned document. Thispermits the Auto function to automatically select the mostappropriate roll of media.Media Selection
