Some examples are:bound or stapled documents, any size up to11" x 17", heavyweight or lightweight, veryshiny, glossy, damaged, torn or crumpleddocuments.With the exception of bound originals, simplyplace the document face down on thedocument glass and register it to the left rearcorner. Close the document handler.There are numerous options for copyingbound originals that are described in theBound Originals section later in this module.The machine can detect the size of thedocument if it is a standard size. If thedocument is not a standard size the machinewill not know what size it is. This does notmatter if you select a specificreduction/enlargement and also select aspecific paper tray. However, you can tell themachine the size of the document if you wantto use the Auto features.To input the size of the document select theLayout Adjustment tab and the Original Sizebutton.Document glassOn this screen you can select the Auto Detectoption, which enables automatic detection ofscanned paper sizes.
