In CentreWare Internet Services, click Properties>Connectivity>Setup.2. Under Protocol, next to SNMP, click Edit.3. Select an option:− To enable SNMP v1/v2c, select Enable SNMP v1/v2c Protocols.− To enable SNMP v3, select Enable SNMP v3 Protocol.4. To prompt the printer to generate a trap for every SNMP request processed with an invalidcommunity name, for Authentication Failure Generic Traps, select Enabled.5. Click Save.Configuring SNMPv1/v2cSNMP version 1 (SNMPv1) is the initial implementation of the SNMP protocol. SNMPv1 operates overprotocols such as User Datagram Protocol (UDP), IP, and Novell Internet Packet Exchange (IPX).SNMPv2c includes improvements in performance, confidentiality, and manager-to-managercommunications over SNMPv1, however it uses the simple-community based security scheme ofSNMPv1.1. In CentreWare Internet Services, click Properties>Connectivity>Setup.2. Under Protocol, next to SNMP, click Edit.3. Click Edit SNMPv1/v2c Properties.4. Under GET Community Name, type a name.GET returns the password for the SNMP GET requests to the printer. Applications obtaininginformation from the printer using SNMP, such as CentreWare Internet Services, use this password.
