Printing on Special MediaWorkCentre 7425/7428/7435User Guide61Guidelines• Successful envelope printing is highly dependent on the quality and construction of the envelopes.Use only paper envelopes specified in the Recommended Media List at www.xerox.com/paper(United States) or www.xerox.com/europaper (Europe).• Maintain constant temperature and relative humidity.• Store unused envelopes in their packaging to avoid the effects of moisture and dryness which canaffect print quality and cause wrinkling. Excessive moisture can cause the envelopes to seal beforeor during printing.• Avoid padded envelopes; purchase envelopes that lie flat on a surface.• Avoid envelopes with heat activated glue.• Avoid envelopes with press and seal flaps.• Remove air bubbles from the envelopes before loading them into the tray by setting a heavy bookon top of them.• In the printer driver, choose either the Envelope size as the paper type or choose the appropriatetray as the paper source.Caution: Never use envelopes with windows or metal clasps; they can damage the printer. Damagecaused by using unsupported envelopes is not covered under the Xerox warranty, serviceagreement, or Total Satisfaction Guarantee. The Total Satisfaction Guarantee is available in theUnited States and Canada. Use full sheet labels only.• Do not use any sheet where labels are missing; it may damage the printer.• Store unused labels flat in their original packaging. Leave the sheets of labels inside the originalpackaging until ready to use. Return any unused sheets of labels to the original packaging andreseal it.• Do not store labels in extremely dry or humid conditions or extremely hot or cold conditions.Storing them in extreme conditions may cause print quality problems or cause them to jam inthe printer.• Rotate stock frequently. Long periods of storage in extreme conditions can cause labels to curl andjam in the printer.• In the printer driver, choose either Labels as the paper type or choose the appropriate tray as thepaper source.
