The transceiver will switchinto the “Memory” mode.Ç Rotate the MEM/VFO CH knob to select the de-sired Memory channel. Both the channel numberand frequency will appear on the display.É To return to VFO operation, press the [VFO/M]key once more.Note: When “Split” memories are programmed,the Transmit frequency does not appearon the display until the transmitter is ac-tivated. The frequency appearing on theSub VFO Display field is not the “Trans-mit” frequency during “Split” memoryoperation.Note: If you move the MAIN VFO Tuning Dial or theSHUTTLE JOG™ ring while in the Memorymode, you can change frequencies as if you werein a “VFO” mode. When this is done, the “MT”(Memory Tune) icon will appear on the display.Press the [VFO/M] key once more to return tothe originally-stored Memory frequency.While operating in the “MT” mode, if you wantto store a newly-tuned frequency, just follow theprocedures described previously for memorystorage (as though the “MT” mode were theVFO mode). Just remember to select an unusedmemory channel for storing the new frequencydata.When operating on a “Split” frequency memory(see previous page), the “ +, –” indication willappear on the display.
