VX-120 OPERATING MANUAL82INSTALLATION OF THE FTD-7 DTMF PAGING UNIT (OPTION)Peel off theCaution SealPress theOptional Unit Affix the suppliedCaution SealConnector1. Make sure that the transceiver is off. Remove the hard or soft case, if used.2. Remove the battery pack.3. Locate the connector for the FTD-7 under the caution seal in the battery compartmenton the back of the radio; just peel off the caution seal.4. Align the connector on the FTD-7 with the transceiver's connector, and gently pressthe unit into place.5. Affix the new (supplied) caution seal, and replace the battery.6. Installation is now complete.When the optional FTD-7 DTMF Pager Unit is installed, a “PGU”notation will be indicated on the display for 2 seconds, along withthe current DC supply voltage, when you turn the radio on.
