Check:• Brake lever operationSoft or spongy feeling → Bleed the brakesystem.Refer to "BLEEDING THE HYDRAULICBRAKE SYSTEM" on page 3-26.EAS22300REMOVING THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPERSThe following procedure applies to both of thebrake calipers.NOTE:Before removing the brake caliper, drain thebrake fluid from the entire brake system.1. Remove:• Union bolt “1”• Copper washers “2”• Brake hose “3”• Brake caliperNOTE:Put the end of the brake hose into a containerand pump out the brake fluid carefully.EAS22360DISASSEMBLING THE FRONT BRAKECALIPERSThe following procedure applies to both of thebrake calipers.FZ6-N/FZ6-NA/FZ6-S/FZ6-SA1. Remove:• Brake caliper pistons “1”• Brake caliper piston seals “2”▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼a. Secure the right side brake caliper pistonswith a piece of wood “a”.b. Blow compressed air into the brake hosejoint opening “b” to force out the left sidepistons from the brake caliper.WARNINGEWA4S81006• Cover the brake caliper piston with a rag.Be careful not the get injured when thepistons are expelled from the brake cali-per.• Never try to pry out the brake caliper pis-tons.c.
