Operation38TIP: As a starting point, lift the lever just untilyou feel resistance, then lift slightly more. The neutral throttle lever can only be usedwhen the remote control lever is in neutral.4. Pull out / turn the choke knob fully. Afterthe engine starts, replace / return theknob to the home position.TIP: It is not necessary to use the choke whenstarting a warm engine. If the choke knob is left in the “ ”(start) position while the engine is running,the engine will run poorly or stall.5. Pull the manual starter handle slowly un-til you feel resistance. Then give astrong pull straight out to crank and startthe engine. Repeat if necessary.6. After the engine starts, slowly return themanual starter handle to its original po-sition before releasing it.TIP: When the engine is cold, it needs to bewarmed up.
