Install the needle bearing into the propel-ler shaft housing to the specified depth.NOTE:Install the needle bearing with the manufac-ture identification mark a facing toward theoil seal (propeller side).2. Apply grease to the new oil seals, andthen install them into the propeller shafthousing to the specified depth.NOTE:Install an oil seal halfway into the propellershaft housing, then the other oil seal.3. Install the original shim(s) 5 and thrustbearing 6 with the propeller shaft intothe propeller shaft housing.CAUTION:Add or remove shim(s), if necessary,when replacing the propeller shaft, thrustbearing or propeller shaft housing.4.
