Whenever a master cylinder is disassem-bled, replace the piston seals and dustseals.Recommended brake fluid:DOT 4INSTALLING THE FRONT BRAKE MASTERCYLINDER1.Install: Brake master cylinder 1NOTE:The “UP” mark on the brake master cylinderbracket should face up.T R. .7 Nm (0.7 m • kg, 5.1 ft • lb)2.Install: Copper washers Brake hose Union boltNOTE: Tighten the union bolt while holding thebrake hose as shown. Turn the handlebar to the left and to the rightto check that the brake hose does not touchother parts (throttle cable, wire harness,leads, etc.).
