3 - 35CHKADJADJUSTING THE PARKING BRAKE/CHECKING THE BRAKE FLUID LEVELWARNINGAfter this adjustment is performed, lift therear wheels off the ground by placing ablock under the engine, and spin the rearwheels to ensure there is no brake drag. Ifany brake drag is noticed perform theabove steps again.***********************************************CHECKING THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL1.Place the machine on a level surface.NOTE:When inspecting the brake fluid level, makesure that the top of the brake fluid reservoir topis horizontal.2.Check: Brake fluid levelFluid level is below the “LOWER” level line1 → Add the recommended brake fluid tothe proper level.È Front brakeÉ Rear brakeCAUTION:Brake fluid may erode painted surfaces orplastic parts. Always clean up spilled fluidimmediately.WARNING Use only the designated quality brakefluid: Otherwise, the rubber seals maydeteriorate, causing leakage and poorbrake performance. Refill with the same type of brake fluid:Mixing fluids may result in a harmfulchemical reaction and lead to poor perfor-mance. Be careful that water does not enter themaster cylinder when refilling. Water willsignificantly lower the boiling point of thefluid and may result in a vapor lock.Recommended brake fluid:DOT 4ÈÉ
