FRONT BRAKE4-203. Install:• Spring “1”(to the brake master cylinder piston “2”)TIPInstall the spring with a smaller inside diameterto the brake master cylinder piston.4. Install:• Brake master cylinder piston assembly “1”• Washer “2”• Circlip “3”• Dust boot “4”• Push rod “5”TIP• Always install new brake master cylinder kit“6”.• Before installation, apply brake fluid to thecomponents of the brake master cylinder pis-ton assembly.• Before installation, apply silicone grease to thepush rod end.• Before installation, apply brake fluid to the in-side of the brake master cylinder.EAM30039INSTALLING THE FRONT BRAKE MASTERCYLINDER1. Install:• Brake master cylinder “1”TIP• Install the front brake master cylinder holderwith the “UP” mark “a” facing up.• First, tighten the upper bolt, then the lower bolt.2. Install:• Copper washer “1”• Brake hose “2”• Union bolt “3”WARNINGEWA13531Proper brake hose routing is essential to in-sure safe vehicle operation.NOTICEECA24470During installation, bring the brake hose intocontact with the brake master cylinder pro-jection “a” and make its bent portion “b”face downward.TIPTurn the handlebar toward right and left to makesure that the brake hose does not touch otherparts (e.g., wire harness, cables, leads). Adjustif necessary.3.
